May be you already know Aura Project for PHP recently moved to 5.4. So I want to download PHP 5.4 and compiled. You need to download the development library files if you are seeing any errors. Just do via synaptic or apt-get. I did download apache2 and installed. Its not that much hard .
PHP provides fgetcsv and fputcsv. But I was interested to use a PHP 5.3 library Easy CSV by Jonathan H. Wage, one of the core contributor of Doctrine Project , for the easiness to use .
You don't want to be a strong C programmer to contribute to PHP. You just need to know some XML to contriute to the documentation of PHP and improve it . Recently I was going through some of the functions . I noticed an example which was not for that function. There was a link just next to it to file a Bug . Though I clicked and moved , I didn't felt it as a huge issue to report as Bug . I came back to the page and saw the edit on the top right . Clicked on it and went to edit .
Some of you may be knowing that I have been playing with Aura components for the past few months . The Aura is a PHP 5.3 collection of library . Its the next major release of Solar PHP framework of Paul M Jones. If you want to use it as a framework the system makes it possible. Aura uses dependency injection in the core .
AuraPHP : AuraPHP is not a new framework, its by Paul M Jones who is one behind the bench marking of PHP frameworks and also the Solar PHP framework. A good thing I loved in AuraPHP is all things are discussed and implemented by Paul and the team in google groups. So you never miss bcoz your timezone is different. You always know what is happening, also if you love to know how a framework should be developed its good to join in the discusssion. I learned a lot from Paul and many of them in the group.
So I hope all of you know that on 22nd July 2010, the php.net announced the end of release cycle of 5.2 series ( "This release marks the end of the active support for PHP 5.2.
When I started learning PHP framework I started with symfony-project . Doctrine was one of the coolest feature I loved. So I thought of learning Doctrine to use with Zend-framework . Recently I was looking zendcasts.com to integrate doctrine with zend-framework . I think Jon didn't get much time to think about this solution else he may have come with the module based solution .
